John Paul Marosy is President of Bringing Elder Care Home LLC, a consulting firm specializing in training, planning and management consulting in elder care/work balance, www.bringingeldercarehome.com.

He is the author of Elder Care: A Six Step Guide to Balancing Work and Family (Bringing Elder Care Home Publishing, 2002) and A Manager’s Guide To Elder Care and Work (Quorum books, Westport, CT, 1998), available at www.Greenwood.com

He has written numerous articles on balancing elder care and work and various facets of home care.

Mr. Marosy has served in leadership positions in aging and health services for over twenty years, including appointments as CEO of Minuteman Home Care in Lexington, Massachusetts, the Home Health Assembly of New Jersey in Princeton, New Jersey, and Visiting Nurse Affiliates of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

As a former family caregiver to his father, Mr. Marosy draws on both his personal and professional experience in presenting keynote speeches and seminars on topics relating to family caregiving, balancing elder care and work, and the future of home care. He also trains instructors to present a workshop for employed caregivers entitled “Elder Care and Work: Finding the Balance.”

He holds a Masters Degree in Urban Affairs from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies from Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ. He has taught as a Visiting Lecturer in the Gerontology Consortium Program which includes Clark University, the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester State College, and other institutions.

Mr. Marosy is Past President of the Massachusetts Gerontology Association and a board member of the National Family Caregivers Association (NFCA). He also serves as national director of NFCA’s Caregiver Community Action Network. He is an active member of the American Society on Aging.
