Johnson Cook

Helping entrepreneurs find practical, sustainable inspiration

I’m Johnson Cook. A dad of 2 3 beautiful kiddos, husband of 12 13 years, addicted but slow runner, general aviation pilot, occasional swimmer, medium-to-poor golfer, very amateur musician (piano), and seeker of entrepreneurial energy. I love to be around it.

I love to take it in, and I love to share it. I love to fix, build, and operate stuff using my hands (probably related to growing up on a farm).

I am an investor in awesome tech startups via Atlanta Ventures. I give elbow grease to our investments and numerous programs… including the Atlanta Ventures Accelerator.

I’m way too active in Atlanta-based startup community leadership, including a challenging and exhilarating responsibility building the awesome Atlanta Tech Village.

Previously the Founder of Quench Network (2012), Peach New Media (2009), and Impact Media Solutions (2001). Do the math, I started when I was 6′ish.

I believe that startups (both for-profit and non-profit) are a key to a healthy, happy society, full of satisfied people. I believe in the power of organized, structured associations and societies to help people find connections with each other and enable lifelong learning in any field.

Also, I really encourage you to check out my reading list. If you read the first four, you will get to know me very well.

I hope you’ll find this blog interesting occasionally, helpful in some way, perhaps inspiring. I practice gumption and hope you will too.
