Jon Barry

NBA Analyst for ABC and ESPN

Jon Barry played 14 seasons in the NBA from 1992 to 2006 with the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets. Prior to beginning his NBA career with the Bucks in 1992 he starred at Georgia Tech University as a lethal outside shooter and quick defensive stopper on the perimeter. In the 1992 NBA Draft the Boston Celtics selected Barry in the first round, but after contract negotiations fell through he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. Over the next 14 seasons he was one of the NBA’s most consistent performers. During that time he served as a reliable starter and back up player, making clutch shots from the outside and sparking the offense late in big time games. He was also a threat on the defensive end, creating havoc for opposing guards and using his quickness to get steals and create fast break points. In 2006 he retired from the NBA and joined ABC and ESPN as an expert basketball analyst and play-by-play man.
