Jon Steinberg is the founder and CEO of Cheddar, Inc., a new media company that covers tech news and culture. He founded Cheddar, which is a live and on-demand video network, in early 2016. Additionally, Steinberg sits on the board of Bustle.com and is an advisor to The Skimm and Taboola.

Steinberg was formerly the President and COO of Buzzfeed, having joined its staff in 2010 when it was still a 10-person company. Steinberg played a large role in helping to develop Buzzfeed’s business strategy, which is rooted in content marketing.

In 2012, Steinberg was named one of AdAge's Media Mavens.

Before founding Cheddar, Steinberg was the CEO of DailyMail.com in North America, where he played a crucial role in building the company’s digital media assets.

He is a graduate of Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and holds an MBA from Columbia University.

Steinberg lives in the Upper East Side of New York City with his wife, Jill, and their two children.
