Jordan Reeves  

LGBTQ+ Advocate, Educator & Storyteller

Jordan Reeves (they/she/he) is queer, trans and non-binary. Jordan grew up in Hueytown, Alabama, taught science at McWane Science Center, and moved to NYC in 2010 where they helped start TED-Ed (viewed nearly 2 billion times online). In 2016, Jordan started VideoOut to record and share LGBTQ+ folks for advocacy and education and has reached millions with a message of solidarity, promising that “even when things aren’t getting better, you are not alone.” Jordan has produced over 50 events around the United States, managed countless volunteers, and interviewed 400 LGBTQ+ people. Jordan has worked with major brands like Hulu, Verizon, P&G, and AARP to create LGBTQ+ inclusive content. In 2020, Jordan started VideoOut Entertainment to tell stories that are too often missing in the canon of television and film. An ethical vegan, a passionate advocate for the queer and trans community, an auncle (queer word for aunt/uncle) to five absolutely crazy nieces and nephews, and Dolly Parton’s biggest fan, they live in Los Angeles.
