Joe Bailey is Managing Director and the leader of RSR Partners’ Global Sport Practice. Since May 2012, Mr. Bailey has also served as the interim Commissioner of the Big East. He has extensive experience in the global sports industry as a leader, advisor and recruiter, was the CEO of the NFL Miami Dolphins franchise, Deputy Commissioner of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, COO of the World League/NFL, and VP of Administration of the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Most recently, he was founder and CEO of Global Sport 360, a consulting practice where he advised businesses in the global sports industry on strategies and tactics to maximize innovation and talent. As a recruiter, he has conducted more than 200 executive searches globally for leading sports organization including the NFL, NBA, NASCAR, Major League Soccer, and Olympic organizations. Prior to joining RSR Partners as an executive recruiter, Mr. Bailey established Heidrick & Struggles’ Global Sport Leadership Advisory Group and launched the Sport, Entertainment and Media Practice at Russell Reynolds Associates. In addition to his employment history, Mr. Bailey is a member of Duke’s Fuqua Center of Leadership and Ethics Advisory Board, Adjunct Professor for Duke Sports Medicine Feagin Program, member of the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and member of the UK-based Beyond Sport Advisory Board. Joe graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
