Josh Goldman joins Catapult from renowned Silicon Valley venture firm Norwest Venture Partners where he served as a General Partner for eleven years. Goldman led Norwest’s investments in some of the most respected names in consumer internet, services and software companies.

Prior to his investing career, Goldman had an extensive entrepreneurial and operating career. Goldman was founder & CEO of one of the internet’s first and largest comparison shopping sites, MySimon, which Goldman led to a $730mm acquisition by CNET in January 2000. Goldman went on to join CNET as its President of Consumer. Goldman also spent time as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at one of the industry’s oldest and most esteemed venture firms, Sprout Group.

His current investments and board seats include Gilt Groupe, Lumosity, Quirky, Sojern, Snapfinger and WhaleShark Media. He holds board observer or advisory roles with Retrevo, Apigee, Sabre Holdings, and JiWire. Goldman has been an entrepreneur, CEO, board member and investor in high-growth technology companies. He was president and CEO of mySimon Inc., a pioneer in online comparison shopping services. Goldman oversaw all aspects of the company's growth, culminating in its acquisition by CNet Networks in 2000 for $703 million. He has also been CEO of Akimbo Systems Inc. and has held management roles at USWeb/CKS, Softbank Content Services, Phoenix Technologies Inc., and Apple.
