Josh Hines-Allen

Two-Time Pro Bowl Defensive End for the Jacksonville Jaguars

Josh Hines-Allen is a professional football defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars, recognized as one of the NFL's premier pass rushers.

Selected as the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Hines-Allen made an immediate impact, setting a franchise record for most sacks by a rookie with 10.5. His dominant first year earned him a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team and marked him as the first Jaguars player to receive Pro Bowl honors in their rookie season. In 2023, he reached new heights by breaking another franchise record with 17.5 sacks in a single season, further solidifying his status as a cornerstone of the team's defense. His outstanding performances have also earned him AFC Defensive Player of the Week accolades in 2022 and 2023.

His collegiate career at Kentucky was equally illustrious, where he received prestigious honors including the Chuck Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Lott Trophy, Jack Lambert Trophy, and SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2018. As a unanimous All-American, he established himself as a force to be reckoned with before transitioning to the NFL. In 2024, the Jaguars solidified their commitment to him.

Off the field, Hines-Allen is equally impactful. His last name change in July 2024 was a heartfelt gesture to honor his family and their influence on his life. He is deeply dedicated to community service through his participation in #MyCauseMyCleats and uplifting others. His leadership extends beyond the gridiron, as he is actively involved in mentoring young athletes and contributing to programs that empower underserved communities.
