Joshua Radin is a recording artist, songwriter and actor born and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He studied drawing and painting at Northwestern University and followed his college years with stints as an art teacher, screenwriter, and art gallery employee. He turned to music when he moved to New York City, bought a guitar, and taught himself to play and write music.

In 2004, American actor Zach Braff introduced Radin's first composition, “Winter,” to Scrubs' show creator, Bill Lawrence, who ultimately used several of Radin's songs within various scenes of the hit television series. Soon after, Radin's songs were heard on several TV totally over 75 film and television placements.

“Winter” appeared on his debut album, “We Were Here,” which Columbia Records released in May 2006. It reached #34 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Ryan Adams played guitar on the song “Lovely Tonight.”

Radin's second album, “Simple Times” was released by the Mom & Pop Records label in 2008. It debuted at #34 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. A music video for the song “I'd Rather Be with You” was released in November 2008, directed by Zach Braff. A second video for “I'd Rather Be With You” starring Hayden Panettiere was released in early 2010. “I'd Rather Be With You"” reached #2 on the U.K. Singles chart and #2 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart.

Radin's third studio album, “The Rock and The Tide” was released in October 2010 on Mom and Pop Records. It peaked at #31 on the Billboard 200, while also reaching #5 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart and #9 in the Billboard Rock Albums chart.
