Joy Bryant, the Yale Graduate, is best known for her role of Jasmine Trussellin the hit TV series PARENTHOOD, and will next be seen on season four of BALLERS. Joy Bryant is an actress and a multi-hyphenated, highly caffeinated dreamer.

She made her premier in Robert Townsend’s Carmen: A Hip Hopera. The MTV production also starred world famous Beyoncé, and Mekhi Phifer. She has also been seen in the 2003 romantic drama HONEY, alongside Jessica Alba. The role that really brought her to fame is Cheryl Smolley in ANTWONE FISHER, along side Derek Luke. She has been seen in other films such as THE SKELETON KEY, LONDON, and GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN’.TV. She has a long list of TV credits as well, with roles on ROSEWOOD, GOOD GIRLS REVOLT, GIRLS, and WHAT WOULD DIPLO DO? She has been featured on LOVE BITES and ENTOURAGE.

Joy currently resides in Los Angeles with her stuntmanhusband Dave Pope. She currently has a clothing line called Basic Terrain. She is an ambassador of Oxfam's Sisters on the Planet, an organization that helps women fight hunger, poverty and climate change. She considers herself to be an activist, entrepreneur and adventurer. She also enjoys drumming in her free time.
