Born the oldest of 5 children and raised by her mom who was widowed by the age of 30 years old, Juanita’s life speaks volumes on the devastations that result from the absence of a father. Still, God instilled in her heart as a child that despite poverty, depression and fear, she was not ordinary by any means. Armed with this knowledge, Juanita refused to be paralyzed in any way or boxed in by stereotypes, competing world views or otherwise concerning her race, sex, environment, social status, etc.

Despite becoming a single parent at the age of 21 and failing to complete her college degree, she began her career in Importing and Exporting as a receptionist to support her newborn child.  Although her ascent to success in business was difficult, it was a steady, progressive process of growth and achievement.  She simply would not allow herself to stop growing professionally.  She became a licensed Customs Broker in 1996.  She received a certificate in Christian Teaching in 1990 and thereafter spent the next 20 years studying a combination of Theology, Christian Education, Culture and Apologetics through various universities including Oxford University in Oxford England.

Her background in Cultural Awareness, International Trade, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain Security and Christian Counseling and Education has opened up doors for her as a speaker not only here in the United States, but in various countries including, Lisbon Portugal, Nigeria, West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica, Port Au Prince Haiti, just to name a few.  When not presenting her infamous  " Going Beyond the Degree" or "Ready, Set, Succeed"  keynote addresses or workshops, you will find her in some part of the world provoking change, inspiring minds and mentoring leaders.
