Cristina Perez is a lawyer, judge, and community activist, renowned for her work both in and out of the courtroom. With a Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School and two Bachelor of Arts degrees from UCLA, Perez's academic and professional credentials underscore her expertise in the legal field. As the founder of Perez Gonzales, a multi-disciplined law firm, she applies her extensive knowledge to a variety of legal challenges.

Born in New York to Colombian immigrants, Perez witnessed firsthand the difficulties of racism, financial hardship, and cultural adaptation. Learning English at the age of ten, she became proficient in both English and Spanish, which later facilitated her groundbreaking crossover from Spanish-language to English-language television. She began her television career with the Spanish-language program "La Corte de Familia," which was broadcasted in 15 countries and became the second-highest rated daytime Spanish-language program in the US. Her English-language debut came in 2006 with "Cristina’s Court," which won three consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Legal/Court Show from 2008 to 2010.

Perez’s influence extends beyond the courtroom. As an author, she has penned books such as "Living by Los Dichos" and "It’s All About the Woman Who Wears It: Ten Laws for Being Smart, Successful and Sexy Too." Her role in media and her community service have earned her notable recognitions, including being named one of America’s Ten Most Inspirational Women by Siempre Mujer magazine in 2007 and California’s Woman of the Year in 2005. She continues to host the English-language television show "Cristina's Court" and is set to launch a new bilingual televised courtroom series, "Justice for All with Judge Cristina Perez."

In all her endeavors, Perez remains dedicated to engaging with diverse audiences.
