United States Bankruptcy Judge and Lecturer on Rembrandt van Rijn

Judge Clarkson is a United States Federal Bankruptcy Judge assigned to the Central District of California and based in Orange County, California. Prior to his appointment in 2011, for over thirty years, Judge Clarkson was a former commercial law and litigation attorney specializing in insolvency law. He is a leading expert on the 17th Century Dutch Artist Rembrandt van Rijn (1606 - 1669) and the very interesting circumstances of his life, artistic work, love affairs, art business deals and eventual bankruptcy proceedings and aftermath of 1656. Judge Clarkson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana and a J.D. (law) degree from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia.
