Julie Bogart is recognized for her practical advice on parenting and education. She is the creator and owner of the award-winning, innovative Brave Writer program, an online writing and language arts curriculum, that has been instrumental in teaching writing and language arts to thousands of families for over twenty-five years. Bogart, driven by her passion for coaching and facilitating the birth of original thought, homeschooled her five now adult children for seventeen years. She also founded Brave Learner Home, a 15,000-member community that supports homeschooling parents through coaching and teaching.

With a rich academic background in history and theology that includes a Bachelor's degree from UCLA and a Master's degree from Xavier University, Bogart has leveraged her knowledge in various ways. She has taught as an adjunct professor of theology at Xavier University and brought her expertise to a homeschool co-op where she taught theater and writing. She has also been involved in a local Charlotte Mason organization. Her exceptional contribution to society has been recognized by Xavier University, which awarded her the Anne E. and William F. Madges Alumni Award.
