Julie Mango

Comedian, Certified Life Coach, Social Media Influencer & Mental Health Advocate; CEO of Julie Mango Productions LLC

Juliet Angelique Bodley, also known as Julie Mango, is a comedic actress, award-winning social media influencer, and mental health advocate. Her online skits, centered around Jamaican culture and featuring popular characters like Mavis and her daughter Janet, have garnered a global fanbase, accumulating millions of likes, shares, and followers, with many of her videos going viral. Bodley's diverse audience includes notable figures such as Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, actress Ayesha Curry, musician Questlove, and the Marley siblings Ziggy, Sharon, and Rohan.

Born in Jamaica, Bodley initially pursued a career as a structural engineer but began exploring her comedic talent at age 12. Her accolades include the 2023 Daughter of the Soil Award from the Jamaica Independence Foundation, proclamations from Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke and Sen. Kevin S. Parker, and the title of Best Jamaican Social Media Personality from 2021 to 2023 by Jamaicans.com. She was also named 2023 Comedian of the Year by the International Reggae & World Music Awards and served as the 2022 Social Media Ambassador for Jamaica's Diamond Jubilee celebration.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bodley transitioned from her corporate career to a more creative path. Her comedic talents led to guest appearances on podcasts, emceeing events, and multiple awards, but the shift from a stable 9-5 job to a less predictable creative career demanded resilience. Diagnosed with borderline personality disorder at a young age, Bodley experienced dark moments, often hiding her struggles while bringing joy to others. This prompted her to become an outspoken advocate for mental health, sharing her battles with depression and suicide attempts.

A Christian by upbringing, Bodley drew inspiration from the wisdom of figures like Henry David Thoreau and his philosophy of pursuing one's dreams confidently. In early 2024, she felt a significant shift in her life, now focusing on expanding her career in acting and public speaking on mental health. Bodley holds a structural engineering degree from the University of Technology, Jamaica, and a master's in engineering management from Florida International University. She is also a member of the Maxwell Leadership Certified Team and has completed John Maxwell Coaching Certification.

Self-Love for Men and Women

Yes, it is an anomaly to see a woman talking to men about self love and that is why I do it. The topic of self-love for men is about promoting and encouraging men to prioritize their mental and emotional well-being. It involves addressing common societal expectations and pressures that men face, such as the need to appear strong and self-sufficient, and encouraging them to embrace vulnerability and self-care practices. By learning to accept and love themselves, men can improve their relationships, increase their resilience, and live more fulfilling lives.

Self-love for women involves challenging societal expectations and pressures that women face, such as the pressure to look a certain way or fulfill traditional roles, and encouraging them to embrace self-compassion, self-care practices, and positive self-talk. By learning to accept and love themselves, women can improve their self-esteem, increase their resilience, and lead more fulfilling lives.
