As a lifelong animal advocate, Julie has held quite a variety of unique positions in her career, from training and swimming with killer whales and other marine mammals to filming wildlife around the world and helping care for rescued animals. Julie shares these stories in ways both entertaining and inspiring.

Uniquely, Julie holds the title as the most frequent guest on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and appeared on NBC’s Today Show regularly discussing animals and conservation. Julie also traveled the globe for years with Jack Hanna, appearing in his weekly show Animal Adventures.

Julie has been recognized for her work with an Emmy, an industry lifetime achievement award, US Fish & Wildlife Service Directors Award for Conservation and a collegiate Hall of Fame. Julie co-authored Wildlife Heroes highlighting 40 conservationists and their work to save imperiled species and solve critical conservation issues.

Julie Scardina’s passion for wildlife and wild places is rivaled only by her commitment to teaching and encouraging others to make a difference for the world we share. Julie entertained millions of visitors at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens throughout her career, and now presents at conventions, fundraisers, zoos and private events both with and without live animals.
