Media Literacy Evangelist; Author of " Master the Media: How Teaching Media Literacy Can Save Our Plugged-In World"

Julie Smith is on the faculty of Webster University in St Louis and is a pioneer in the media literacy field. She specializes in digital forensics, media analysis and the state of the media in 2023. Smith has presented in twenty states and fourteen countries to business and education conferences as well as student, teacher and parent groups.

She is the author of "Master the Media: How Teaching Media Literacy Can Save our Plugged-In World" as well as a book on how to increase engagement in university classrooms. She co-hosts the "What the Media?!" podcast with KMOX News and is a frequent television and radio guest regarding media stories.
