Justin J. Grooms, PHR

Business Consultant, Human Resources Professional, Corporate Trainer (Specializing in DEI, Harassment & Discrimination Prevention), Writer

Justin Grooms is a Business Consultant based in Los Angeles CA. Being a black male raised in a predominately white, small rural town in Kentucky and being the first person in his family to earn a college degree, it is no small achievement that he is where he is today. A three sport letterman in high school, Grooms would eventually turn down 5 full scholarships to play football and instead take an academic scholarship to Murray State University where he would go on to earn a Masters Degree before starting his professional career in the insurance industry. Very quickly Grooms realized that he had interest in a wide variety of things including writing, acting, and public speaking; a realization that would take him on a wild journey and land him in many different cities. He would go on to appear on TV shows such as Tyler Perry's House of Payne and BET's The Game, along with several regional and national commercials. He also penned his first book called ""Wrapped In Skin"" in 2015 which detailed his life and a journey of self discovery which would help him figure out how to merge his passions with his work.

Grooms now owns a consulting company where he helps business owners focus on getting the best out of their employees through a wide variety of employee training. His company Chariot Consulting, utilizes a great deal of their resources to facilitate their flagship trainings which include Harassment and Discrimination Prevention, Generational Awareness, and Conflict Resolution. Grooms' most recent work has been focused in the areas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with a recent provocative article on Critical Race Theory being published in the San Diego Union Tribune. Another one of Grooms' works is a short eBook written amid the pandemic which is called, ""Crisis Averted; 5 Things Every Organization Should Consider in Times of Business Crisis"". This book gives tips and clues on how business owners can navigate communication issues in their workforce during an existential crisis.

Grooms' unique ability to relate to professionals at all levels of the organization make him a unique speaker and consultant. His mantra is ""Money doesn't make the world go around, people do. Money is simply the facilitator. Get the ""people"" part right and the money will follow""."
