Kaitlyn Dever is an actress known for starring in Olivia Wilde's Booksmart and playing a survivor of sexual assault in Netflix's 2019 miniseries "Unbelievable."

Dever was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Her family moved to Dallas, Texas, where she studied at the Dallas Young Actors Studio. She starred in a number of commercials before deciding to move to Los Angeles to pursue television and film.

Her first major role came in 2009 when she appeared in An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong. She was cast as a recurring character in FX's crime drama "Justified." Soon after, she was cast as a series regular on sitcom "Last Man Standing" starring Tim Allen.

She has appeared in multiple motion pictures, including J. Edgar and The Spectacular Now. She received praise for her work in 2013's Short Term 12, which she starred in alongside Brie Larson, Rami Malek, and Lakeith Stanfield. In 2014, she was named one of Variety's 10 Actors to Watch. She appeared in Men, Women & Children alongside Ansel Elgort and Timothée Chalamet.
