Singer, Songwriter, Producer & Star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta"

Kandi Burruss is a singer, songwriter, producer, and star of the popular Bravo reality show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."

Burruss started out in the music industry as a member of the '90s super group Xscape before launching into songwriting. Her song "No Scrubs" became one of TLC's biggest hits and earned a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance for a Duo or Group with Vocals and a nomination for Record of the Year. She went on to write the #1 hits "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Bug a Boo" for Destiny's Child and several other hits for Pink, *NSYNC, Usher, Boyz II Men, Fantasia, and Whitney Houston.

Riding the success of her songwriting career, she released her debut album, Hey Kandi, in 2001, yielding the Billboard Top 25 pop hit "Don't Think I'm Not." She was the first African American woman to win the prestigious ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award in 2000 and the first woman ever to win ASCAP's Rhythm & Soul Music Award.

Burruss starred in multiple Housewives spin-offs, including "The Kandi Factory," "Kandi's Wedding," and "Kandi's Ski Trip." She also hosts the weekly Internet talk show "Kandi Koated Nights" and writes a blog called "Kandi Presents: The Bitter and the Sweet," for lifestyle website Hellobeautiful.com.
