Karen Finerman

CEO of Metropolitan Capital Advisors, CNBC's "Fast Money" Panelist and Author

Karen grew up in Southern California as a tomboy and competitive tennis player. At the age of 15 she realized she wanted to go to Wall Street. During her senior year in high school, she informed her parents that she was applying only to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as that was the surest route to get there. After graduating from Wharton in 1987, Karen headed to Wall Street and began her career at First City Capital. She later went to Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette before co-founding Metropolitan Capital Advisors, a New York based hedge fund.

Ms. Finerman serves on the Board of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and is a Trustee of Montefiore Medical Center, where she sits on their Investment Committee. She is also a permanent member of CNBC’s "Fast Money," one of the most watched business programs in America.

Karen is married to financier Lawrence Golub and they live in New York City with their four children (two sets of boy/girl twins).
