Karen Neuburger

Chief Lifestyle Officer, KN Ltd.

With energy, a sense of fun that is infectious, and a stance that embraces her own comfort inspired lifestyle, Karen Neuburger has discovered just how powerful and comforting women's friendships can be.

Her lifelong quest for comfort led her to shed the corporate dress code of her fashion career, shred her pantyhose, toss her pumps, and create her now-famous lifestyle brand. Beginning with her signature soft boyfriend pajamas (deemed to be Oprah’s favorites), the brand has now grown to make Neuburger the purveyor of all things comfy and cozy. Today her comfort promise can be experienced in bedding, luxury mattresses, infant bedding and accessories, lounge socks, intimates, home décor and tabletop accessories, crafts, and sleepwear for the whole family.

For the past ten years, the lifestyle expert, comfort coach, and author of the book, The Secret Language of Girlfriends, has been on the road hosting pajama parties in malls, hotel ballrooms, busy streets, offices and even on airplanes, to bring attention to the life affirming qualities of women’s friendships – gathering stories from thousands of women she has met. Neuburger continues to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer education and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation through the KN Pink Ribbon Signature Collection, one of the first clothing lines to do so. Neuburger is also a poplar guest speaker at women-focused business conferences across the country. Her story is relevant to women entrepreneurs because she encourages women to embrace the influence of her womanhood rather than to deny it. Her business and brand image is built around the idea that women everywhere share the same basic emotional needs and comfort.

A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Neuburger previously worked as a fashion buyer, merchandise manager, sportswear designer, and vice president/merchandise manager. She retired at age 40 to become a stay-at-home mom and introduced her first pair of “all-day” pajamas in 1994. Karen serves on the California State Board of Directors for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a nonprofit organization that helps foster kids find safe and permanent homes. A member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, she has received recognition and numerous awards as a businesswoman and an entrepreneur.
