Karen Wynn  

Professor, Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science, Yale University

Karen Wynn is a professor of psychology and cognitive science and director of the Infant Cognition Lab at Yale University. For 25 years, she has been investigating the nature of the human mind by studying babies, who provide a glimpse into the mind as it exists before the imprintings of language, culture, and formal education. She received the Troland Research Award from the National Academy of Sciences and a Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology from the American Psychological Association. She is a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and has been a visiting scholar at universities in London, Budapest, Seoul, Santa Barbara, and Beijing.
