Karla de Mata is vice president of logistics and transportation at CPS Logistics. Karla has worked very close in cooperation with the superintendence of tax administration on the modernization of customs procedures. She was appointed by the Latin America and the Caribbean Conference for Express Companies CLADEC, for 4 years as the President's Council, representing the 22 national associations in LAC in the Board of Directors of CLADEC. In this position Karla was able to work closely with different customs administrations, USAID, and in the negotiations of DR-CAFTA. In 2010 Karla received a Certificate of Merit from the World Customs Organization on the occasion of International Customs Day, for rendering exceptional service to the international Customs community. Karla participates in many groups to help women and children in issues of access to markets, health, nutrition and education, recently was appointed as member of the Board of Directors of Vital Voices Guatemala Chapter. She is a Fellow of the seventh class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
