Karla Monterroso is the CEO of Code2040, a company working to close the opportunity gap for Black and Latino technologists. At this company, she also serves as the Vice President of Programs. Prior to her work at Code2040, Monterroso served as the Director of Advocate Engagement for Health Leads. Here, she created the training for their 1000+ college students across the country.

Monterroso has focused much of her professional career on increasing youth advocacy and leadership and she spent 15 years working for under-served communities.

She is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
