Earlier this year, Hillary Clinton met a very special girl named Karla Ortiz while on the campaign trail. The 10-year-old told Clinton that she lives in constant fear of her undocumented parents being deported.

On opening day of the Democratic National Convention, Karla and her mom Francisca Ortiz gave a rousing speech, in both English and Spanish, in front of thousands of delegates — and got a standing ovation. Before Karla and Francisca Ortiz spoke, the audience watched a clip of Clinton first meeting the special 10-year-old.
