Kate Gardiner is an audience engagement specialist working with media brands to redefine their digital futures. She is currently a cofounder and partner at AVG, a creative studio working with media companies; and founder of DSTL, a New York-based audience engagement consultancy serving clients around the world. She is also the executive director of TheLi.st, a platform for women in business, technology and media. Kate has crafted communities for audiences ranging from the tiniest of local newspapers to some of the biggest brands in media and entertainment, focusing on long-term, committed communities. Among others, she’s worked with Al Jazeera International (Doha), Newsweek, Voice of America, New York Public Radio and more than 75 media products across a wide variety of platforms, languages and intended audiences. She is also a member of the 2016 class of Forbes’ #30under30, a 2015‐2016 #NextJ fellow for the Radio, Television and Digital News Association, and a Young Leader on the National Committee for U.S.‐China Relations (2015).
