Kate Middleton

Princess of Wales & Wife of William, Prince of Wales

Catherine, Princess of Wales, popularly known as Kate Middleton, was born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton on January 9, 1982, in Reading, England. Raised in the village of Bucklebury, Berkshire, Catherine grew up in a close-knit family with her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, and her younger siblings, Pippa and James. Her family, owners of the successful party supply company Party Pieces, provided a comfortable upbringing, allowing Catherine to attend some of the best schools in the country, including Marlborough College. She went on to study Art History at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, where she met Prince William, marking the beginning of a relationship that would transform her life.

Catherine and Prince William's romance became public in 2004, and after several years of courtship, the couple announced their engagement in November 2010. They married in a grand ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, watched by millions worldwide. As the Duchess of Cambridge, and later Princess of Wales following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of King Charles III, Catherine has become an integral part of the British royal family. She is admired for her poise, elegance, and commitment to charitable causes, particularly in the areas of mental health, early childhood development, and art education. Her work with organizations like Heads Together and the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood reflects her passion for supporting families, children, and mental health awareness.

In addition to her public duties, Catherine is a dedicated mother to her three children with Prince William: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. She balances her royal responsibilities with her role as a parent, often advocating for the importance of childhood development and early years care. Known for her modern approach to royal life, Catherine is widely regarded as a style icon and a future queen consort who embraces both tradition and change.
