Katharine Halpin

Founder & CEO of the Halpin Companies

Katharine Halpin is the CEO and founding principal of The Halpin Companies, Inc., a global business optimization firm celebrating its 16th anniversary. Her work focuses on CEOs and their senior leaders. In 2003, Katharine established a network of Halpin Leadership Strategists who use her strategic framework for creating quantum-leap results with their own clients around the globe.

The Arizona Republic, the Phoenix Business Journal, the Arizona Business Gazette, The Wall Street Journal and The Financial Times of London have all profiled or interviewed Katharine. She has led more than 250 workshops and seminars for a growing client base throughout the United States and Europe. From Fortune 500 firms to mid-sized and entrepreneurial companies as well as public universities and non-profit hospitals, Katharine has coached leaders at all levels to create environments where 90% of the poor and marginal performers step up and take personal responsibility for delivering results and unleashing innovation. Katharine's forthcoming book, In Plain Sight: Generate Quantum Leap Results with a Culture of True Transparency TM documents hundreds of success stories in organizations of all sizes.

Katharine Halpin is a pioneer in the executive coaching industry. She hosts the radio show Coach Conversations on BlogTalkRadio.com. In 1996, she co-founded the Arizona Chapter of the International Coach Federation, a global association that has grown to over 17,000 professional life and business coaches from over 108 countries. In 1998 the International Coach Federation awarded Katharine the Master Certified Coach designation. Katharine is one of only 621 professionals world-wide that hold the MCC certification. She served on the Global Board of the ICF from 1998-2000 and continues to support the coaching community.

Motivated by her passion for the power of transparency, she has made landmark contributions to the field of integrative thinking. After 20 years as a practicing CPA in both industry and public accounting, Katharine switched to the "softer side" of business; addressing the people and the processes an organization uses to get results. She helps CEOs maximize the value of their intangible assets (their people and their corporate culture) to achieve tangible results on the bottom line. Her approach emphasizes continuous growth and improvement. She partners with CEOs to build strong connections between the people, the processes, and the purpose of the organization. Her clients see her as the facilitator for their strategic thinking processes.

Katharine has been speaking professionally since 1991 when she presented in-house training for her employer. She presents interactive keynotes at State and National Conferences to audiences of 30-200 people. She leads corporate seminars in her clients' companies and conducts training that teaches people how to drive results by nurturing connections with people and building transparency at every level, in each interaction.

Since 1985, Katharine has served continuously as a member of various not-for-profit and professional association boards including the International Coach Federation (1998-2000), Arizona Society of CPAs (2000-2004), and Arizona Business Leadership, Inc. (2002-2005). She is currently a member of The Charter 100 of Phoenix, the International Coach Federation and the American Institute of CPAs.
