Kathryn O'Callaghan is acting associate center director, Science and Strategic Partnerships, at the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Devices and Radiological Health. She oversees a broad program portfolio, supporting a number of strategic partnership and regulatory science programs. Her focus is on directing the center's patient engagement activities and initiatives to advance the science and adoption of patient input as evidence, including patient preferences and patient-reported outcomes. O'Callaghan also oversees the center's efforts dedicated to improving diversity of clinical data and study participation, and advancing pediatric device development and safe use. O'Callaghan is dedicated to building partnerships and promoting availability of usable information to reduce healthcare disparities and drive more patient-centric medical product innovation, evaluation, and access.
