Katie Goodman is an award-winning comedian, author and speaker. She has been seen on Showtime, Current TV, and TruTV, as well as touring internationally. Her comedy videos have amassed over 5 million views on YouTube and Facebook. Her main keynote topic teaches how to use the tools of improv comedy in everyday life. She is also a widely respected feminist comedian and her keynotes can be applied broadly to all industries, targeting leadership issues as well as collaboration and innovation in the workplace. She is a featured blogger for The Huffington Post, has contributed to O, The Oprah Magazine and is the author of Improvisation For The Spirit. She was nominated for The MacArthur Foundation Genius Grant for her unique work in theatre, and has taught over 10,000 people the art of using improvisational comedy and how to bring those same tools into your work and your everyday life. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Philosophy and went on to run a theatre company for 14 years. She has given keynotes and led corporate workshops for 10 years and her clients are extremely varied and include Planned Parenthoods, The YWCA, Huffington Post Thrive, Inbound, Kripalu, Omega Institute, TedX, The Martha Beck Institute, software companies, and many colleges including Harvard, Wellesley, Smith and more.
