Katya Andresen the SVP Card Customer Experience at Capital One. She leads US card research and insights, brand marketing, performance marketing, digital customer experiences teams and customer service operations.

She was formerly the CEO of Cricket Media, an education media and technology company where she was responsible for all strategic, operational, financial, human capital, technology, product, content, marketing and brand building activities, as well as the company's joint venture in China.

She was also the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of the donation technology platform Network for Good, as well as a speaker, author and blogger. In addition, she is currently an adjunct professor of communications at American Universitys Key Executive Leadership Program and serves as Vice Chair on the board of the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN).

She has 20+ years of work experience in the United States, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe, spanning:

  • organizational management and strategy
  • technology platform/SaaS product strategy
  • branding, marketing and communications
  • digital and traditional media
  • philanthropic thought leadership
  • fundraising

Katya has trained thousands of organizations in effective marketing and online engagement, and her marketing materials have won national and international awards. She is the author of the book, Robin Hood Marketing: Stealing Corporate Savvy to Sell Just Causes and is also an author featured in People to People Fundraising - Social Networking and Web 2.0 for Charities and Nonprofit Management 101. Fundraising Success Magazine named her Fundraising Professional of the Year in 2007.

Before joining Network for Good, she was Senior Vice President of Sutton Group, a marketing and communications firm and worked with Institute for Sustainable Communities in Ukraine. She also worked for CARE International.

Katya traces her personal passion for good causes to the enormous social need she witnessed as a journalist prior to her work in the non-profit sector. She was a foreign correspondent for Reuters News and Television in Asia and for Associated Press and major US newspapers in Africa.
