Founder of USA Network, Pioneer in Cable TV, Advocate for Women Entrepreneurs

Kay Koplovitz is the founder of USA Network and the first woman network president in television history. A pioneer in cable television networks and new media ventures, she is a visionary who led the cable television industry in challenging the mighty broadcast networks for coveted audiences.

She also launched the SyFy Channel (formally Sci-Fi Channel), now one of the top-ranked networks in viewership, and initiated USA Networks International in 1994.

In addition to her achievements in media, Koplovitz founded Springboard Enterprises in 2000, a national organization that has fostered the investment of over $4 billion in women-led firms. She also co-founded Boldcap Ventures in 2001, a venture capital fund exclusively backed by high net worth women. Currently, Koplovitz serves as Chairman and CEO of Koplovitz & Company, specializing in media investments, and is Chairman of the Board at Fifth and Pacific.
