Australian Bikini Body Trainer; Author of "The Bikini Body 28-Day Healthy Eating & Lifestyle Guide"

Kayla Itsines is 27-years old from Adelaide, Australia. Her journey began in 2008, when she started a personal training course at the Australian Institute of Fitness. After graduation, she took a job at a “women’s only” personal training centre in Adelaide, Australia. She soon realized the methods she was instructed to use often fell short or did not provide the results the client was aspiring to achieve. From the new female clients, she was always hearing:

The same issues kept reoccurring so she decided to do some of my own research, and began to develop her own set of exercises that targeted those areas specifically. Fortunately, she was left in charge of the facility in the absence of the manager and had a small amount of time to run things the way she wanted.

“Before I knew it, I had developed workouts and cardio techniques, mixed with nutrition planning that achieved a certain result: a bikini body confidence.”

She soon left the training facility, and started her own company aimed at helping women achieve a bikini body in the most efficient and effective way possible. Her clients saw amazing results in 12 weeks or sometimes even sooner, and began to tell their friends and spread an amazing positive message. She soon realized that this was becoming bigger than she had imagined, and she needed a way to reach more women.

It was then she decided to build a presence on Instagram and Facebook, in order to share her training and nutrition methods. By uploading client transformations, healthy eating ideas, and some training tips, she was able to inspire thousands of women to move towards a healthier lifestyle and nothing makes her happier. Having the ability to touch the lives of so many people through her fitness and nutrition guidelines has been the most rewarding part of her practice!

She created her own workout app, Sweat with Kayla. Sweat with Kayla generated more revenue than any other fitness app in 2016.

In March 2016, Time's named Kayla one of the 30 most influential people on the Internet, noting her success at leveraging social media to promote her brand. As of October 2016, Itsines had eight million followers on Facebook and five million on Instagram. Her Facebook followers had liked her content 7.7 million times.

In October 2016, Itsines and her partner, Tobi Pearce, were included in the BRW "Young Rich" list of the wealthiest Australians aged under 40 who had not inherited their money. Their fortune was reported at $46 million, in 2016.

When she was young, she always said: “I don’t know what I want to be. I just want to help people.” Fitness has become her passion, and she now get to help women around the world every single day.

Twelve minutes into the Sweat With Kayla boot camp, after the mandatory hug-the-stranger-next-to-you icebreaker but before the series of 30-second, full-body planks, an exasperated cry comes from somewhere in the sea of 4,000 women doing burpees on yoga mats: “This is soooooo hard!”
