Professional Tennis Player & 1st Tennis Olympic Medalist for Japan in 96 Years

Kei Nishikori is a renowned Japanese professional tennis player. He is the only male Japanese tennis player ever to be ranked inside the top 5 in singles and he first reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 4 in March 2015. Throughout his career, he has won 12 singles titles, 6 ATP Tour 500 titles, and 6 ATP Tour 250 titles.

In 2014, Nishikori made history as the first male player representing an Asian country to reach a Grand Slam singles final at the US Open and has since advanced to the quarterfinals of every Grand Slam event in 2018. He also became the first man from Asia to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals, reaching the semifinals in 2014 and 2016. Notably, at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Nishikori defeated Rafael Nadal to win the bronze medal, bringing Japan its first Olympic tennis medal in 96 years.

Nishikori's prowess extends beyond singles competitions. He won the doubles title at the USTA Pro Circuit event in Little Rock, Arkansas, and made his Davis Cup debut for Japan in April 2008, boasting a 19-3 win-loss record in Davis Cup matches. Recognized for his powerful groundstrokes and exceptional speed on the court, Nishikori has also been a Wilson Tennis Advisory Staff member and is currently sponsored by various companies. These include Uniqlo, Wilson, Nissin Foods, TAG Heuer, Fast Retailing, LVMH Moët Hennessy, Jaccs Co., Wowow, Air Weave, EA Games, Delta Air Lines, and Japan Airlines.
