Keith Boykin is a New York Times best-selling author of several notable books. His recent works include "Race Against Time: The Politics of a Darkening America" (2021), "Quitting: Why I Left My Job to Live a Life of Freedom" (2022), and the forthcoming "Why Does Everything Have to Be About Race?" (2024).

A seasoned academic, Boykin has enriched students at American University in Washington, D.C., the Institute for Research in African-American Studies at Columbia University, and City College of New York. He served as a White House aide to President Bill Clinton and has made significant contributions as a leading TV commentator on politics, race, and sexual orientation.

Boykin's impact extends beyond academia and media. He is a co-founder and first board president of the National Black Justice Coalition and has been recognized with a Lambda Literary Award.
