Keith Kirkland

Co-Founder of WearWorks

Keith Kirkland is the Co-Founder of WearWorks, a haptics design company. The company's first product, WAYBAND, is a wearable haptic navigation device that helps blind and visually impaired users. The band guides users using vibration instead of visual and audio clues, and in 2017 a WAYBAND user who is blind ran the first 15 miles of the NYC marathon without sighted assistance.

Kirkland is also a public speaker, mechanical engineer, accessories designer and industrial designer. In April 2019, his TED talk "Wearable tech that helps you navigate by touch" was released online. He has also worked with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Coach, Calvin Klein, Nordstrom, and Rutgers University.
