Keith Smart    

Assistant Coach for the Miami Heat NBA Team

Keith Smart is a former NBA player and is currently an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors.

He attended Indiana University where he became best known for hitting the game-winning shot in the 1987 NCAA championship game.  After two seasons at Indiana, Smart was signed by the San Antonio Spurs, where he played two games in the 1988 season. Smart was more successful in the CBA where he played six seasons before retiring in 1995.

Smart also played in the Philippines, with the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association, in the 1989 Reinforced Conference.  He was also an interim coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2002 season.
