Kelly Knox is a dedicated, passionate advocate for diversity in fashion with the aim to dismiss society’s preconceptions about disability and to change the beauty ideal. She says: “I would like to see disability normalised in fashion.”

Kelly is the Co-founder of ‘Diversity Not Disability’ – a new, exciting campaign which launched at the start of the year. ‘Diversity Not Disability’ is the positive celebration of all body types where uniqueness and individuality are embraced, promoting the equal representation of disability models across all platforms of the media – creating positive body image by the choice of models we see in fashion and beauty campaigns, magazines, billboards and on TV.

Kelly is listed in the Power 100 – Britain’s most influential people with a disability and is devoted to motivating future generations. Over the course of her career Kelly has worked hard to offer inspiration to those who need to develop confidence. She has spread her message of diversity and drive internationally and across various cultures and social movements.

Kelly’s impressive CV includes: Britain’s Missing Top Model – Winner, P&G Beauty Vision House, Debenhams, Tenk Nytt, being one of Gok Wan’s “Gokettes” in two series of the ever-popular television show ‘How To Look Good Naked’, Volup2, Nick Knight’s Show Studio, Pakistani Fashion Week, The Fairy Gothmother, V05, Bo Carter, Masato, Illuminati Jeans, Samsung Angles, Celebrity Ready Steady Cook, Marie Claire UK, Marie Claire China, DIVA, Glamour, Yperlab, Virgos Lounge, London College of Fashion and starred as lead Actress in Channel 4’s I’m Spazticus.

Kelly was selected to be a part of photographer George Bamford’s Young Guns Portrait Project featuring the “Top 100 up-and-coming Artists and Entertainers in the UK.”

Kelly is an Ambassador for REACH, Parallel London, Disability Confident and has supported numerous organisations over the years such as: Action For Children, Park Avenue Disability Resource Centre (hosting an inclusive fashion show for service users), Shape Arts, London Book Fair as part of their Equal Measures Event, Mines Advisory Group and United Response.
