Best-known to television audiences as Lily van der Woodsen, on the hit show Gossip Girl, Kelly played the sophisticated, fashionable, matriarch on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for 6 seasons culminating in December of 2012. Kelly is also known for her former roles in television shows Melrose Place, Homefront, and E-Ring. She has also appeared in movies including Scream 3, I Love Trouble, and Swimming Upstream. As the devoted single parent to Hermes and Helena, Kelly is an advocate of multiple women’s and children’s charities including StepUp Women’s Network, Healthy Child Healthy World, and she is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Free Arts.

In November of 2011, Kelly launched KellyRutherford.com, an online magazine that features her favorite and most adored items in Fashion and Beauty. She uses this platform to give an inside glimpse into her world of Well-Being and Décor, sharing tips for healthy living, to chic accessorizing, and creative children’s projects.

Based in New York City, Kelly is an avid environmentalist who values an organic and green lifestyle for herself and her family.
