Kenichi Ebina

Solo Dance Performer, America's Got Talent Winner, Multimedia Artist

Kenichi Ebina is a self-taught solo dance performer who specializes in a variety of styles, including Freestyle HipHop, Poppin', Lockin', Mime, House, Jazz, Contemporary, and Ethnic dance. He creates innovative shows that integrate illusion effects of sound, light, and visual elements which captivate a broad range of audiences, including those not typically engaged in the performing arts.

With a deep understanding of movement and current trends, Ebina designs his performances to adapt to changing tempos and themes, crafting coordinated dance routines that can be presented as short segments or as full shows up to twenty minutes in length. His high-tech performances are a spectacle of multimedia artistry, from creating a videogame landscape with high-definition graphics that play off his interactions with the backdrop screen, to a Michael Jackson tribute that skillfully reproduces some of Jackson's most challenging, iconic moves.

Ebina's career includes significant achievements such as founding the dance group BiTriP in 2001, which won the grand championship at the "Amateur Night" at the Apollo Theater the same year. He made history by becoming the only two-time grand champion at the Apollo Theater, a title he earned after his victories on "Showtime at the Apollo" in 2007. Additionally, Ebina won "America's Got Talent" season 8 in 2013 and has directed, choreographed, and performed for numerous international projects. His first full-length show with Ebina Performing Arts debuted at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. Currently, Ebina can be seen on the US TV show "Angelina Ballerina" on PBS Kids, where he is a featured dance performer.
