Over the course of his fifteen year career in the music industry, Kenny Ochoa has collaborated with some of the most ground-breaking artists and executives in music, entertainment and brand building to execute multi-million dollar deals and strategic partnerships with Madison Avenue, Hollywood studios, and Silicon Valley.

Currently, as Senior Vice President, Creative Sync Licensing & Soundtracks at Warner Bros Records, Kenny and his department are responsible for identifying and securing synchronization licensing and soundtrack opportunities for the Warner Bros Records developing and established roster of artists.

He and his team have consistently delivered timely marketing drivers and revenue for key releases such as Black Keys (Warner Bros Pictures’ Dark Shadows, The Campaign and Summit’s Warm Bodies marketing campaigns), Linkin Park (NBA Playoffs and Fox’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter tie-in/marketing campaigns), Muse (NCAA March Madness campaign), Green Day (all Green Day CSI:NY episode and promo campaign), Tegan & Sara (HBO’s GIRLS and Fox’s GLEE) and developing artist success stories such as Gary Clark Jr, to just name a few. Previously as Vice President of Music Licensing at Sony Music Entertainment, Kenny was responsible for identifying and securing new licensing opportunities for Sony Music’s vast catalog of 2 million master recordings and frontline artists as the company’s chief liaison to the advertising and brand community. While at Sony, Kenny brokered high profile deals including Train with Samsung & Coke, Passion Pit with Palm Pixi, Brandi Carlile with General Motors, John Mayer with Hallmark, Ray LaMontagne with Travelers and worldwide Apple advertising campaigns featuring The Ting Tings, Franz Ferdinand and Cake.

Prior to his role at Sony, Kenny served as Vice President of Film and TV Licensing at Sanctuary Records Group where he was responsible for marketing, pitching and placing music on acclaimed and influential, musically driven first seasons of television shows such as The O.C, The Sopranos, Entourage and Grey’s Anatomy and first and early use of licensed music in video games (Tony Hawk Pro Skater series, Grand Theft Auto) as well as an award-winning Hewlett Packard campaign featuring The Kinks “Picture Book”.

Before working in music licensing, Kenny held various roles in the music business in radio, entertainment law and running his own Los Angeles based independent record label after recording two albums of his own and being signed as a recording artist.
