Three-Time Olympic Gold Medalist for Women's Beach Volleyball

Kerri Walsh Jennings is an American professional beach volleyball player, five-time Olympian, three-time Olympic gold medalist and one-time Olympic bronze medalist. She will next compete at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. She is the longtime competitive partner of Misty May-Treanor, now retired.

Paired up with May-Treanor, Walsh-Jennings won Olympic gold in beach volleyball at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympic Games, and is known as one of the best players to ever compete in the sport. At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, Walsh-Jennings and May-Treanor started off with a bang, defeating Australia, the Czech Republic, Austria, The Netherlands, Italy and China. They went on the win the final against fellow American team Jennifer Kessy and April Ross, 2-0 (21-16, 21-16), taking their third consecutive gold medal in beach volleyball.

Walsh-Jennings played high school volleyball and basketball for Archbishop Mitty in San Jose, where she earned a scholarship to Stanford University and graduated with a BA in American Studies. While at Stanford, Walsh-Jennings became the second player in NCAA history to be named First-Team All-American in all four seasons that she played (1996–99). Following her collegiate career, Kerri played in her first Olympic Games in 2000, representing the U.S. on the indoor volleyball team. Team USA took home fourth place and Kerri then immediately transferred to beach volleyball.

Additionally, she co-founded p1440 with her husband, Casey Jennings, pro beach player and seven-time AVP Open Champion. p1440 is a digital platform exclusively built around the sport and culture of beach volleyball. The name p1440 is based on the Jennings’ way of life: to live all 1440 minutes of the day with passion and purpose.
