Keryn James is the Group Chief Executive of Environmental Resources Management, the largest pure-play sustainability consulting firm in the world. ERM has 5,200 staff in offices in 47 countries around the globe and operates in North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe, Middle East and Africa. James commenced this role in April 2017, having previously been the Global Director of Operations and the Regional CEO for Asia Pacific. She joined ERM in Australia in 1993 and has worked with clients across a range of geographies including Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and Latin America.

She has over 25 years’ experience in sustainability and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) consulting across a broad range of sectors including oil and gas, mining, chemicals, infrastructure and power. She has supported clients in the development of sustainability and EHS strategy, evaluation of mergers, acquisitions and divestments, as well as project development and implementation and operational performance management, working at corporate and site level. Her specific technical expertise includes social and environmental impact assessment, due diligence and management.

She is a regular speaker at sustainability fora through which she leverages ERM’s purpose of shaping a sustainable future with the world’s leading organisations. This includes IHS CERA Week, Bloomberg Sustainable Business Summits, Environmental Analyst Annual Conference, Greenbiz USA, and the BNP Paribas Sustainability Summit.
