Kevin Streelman

Professional Golfer on the PGA Tour

Kevin Streelman grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. Tennis, basketball, baseball, and golf consumed most of his free time, but it wasn't until his freshman year of high school that he decided to focus on golf. After some strong showings in national junior tournaments, college coaches started taking notice and Kevin chose Duke University.

It was in Durham, North Carolina that Kevin truly began to ignite his passion for golf. His golf game steadily improved and by his senior year Kevin captained the team. After graduating from Duke University in 2001, Kevin jumped in his mother's Nissan Altima and drove to South Dakota for the start of the Dakota's Tour.

The next six years would serve as the training ground necessary for Kevin to become a successful touring golf professional. He burned out three different cars, crossed the country multiple times, and racked up over 300,000 miles in pursuit of his golfing career. He became a veteran of the Dakotas Tour, Gateway Tour, Hooters Tour, and US Pro Golf Tour. Kevin’s dedication and hard work during his tenure on the mini tour circuit improved his game year after year. Finally, 2007 became the breakout year for which Kevin had worked so hard.

After three wins on the mini tours in 2007, Kevin earned his PGA Tour card through 2007 Qualifying school. An exciting rookie year on the PGA Tour, with four top-10 finishes and a 35th place finish in the FedEx Cup, paved the way for Kevin's win of the 2009 Kodak Challenge in his sophomore year. He further improved his standing on tour during the next three years with 14 top-10 finishes and a 25th place finish in the FedEx Cup in 2010.

Kevin recorded his first PGA Tour victory in 2013 at the Tampa Bay Championship, and followed it up with a second win in 2014 at the Travelers Championship. Kevin closed his final round of the Travelers Championship with seven consecutive birdies, which set a record for the most consecutive birdies made to win a tournament.

Streelman lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife, Courtney, and kids, Sophia and Rhett.
