Head Football Coach of Arizona Wildcats

Kevin Sumlin was named head coach at the University of Arizona in 2018 after six seasons as the head coach at Texas A&M. He led the Aggies to a 51-26 record and three bowl victories. Sumlin had his best team in his first season. Texas A&M went 11-2 and finished fifth in both major polls behind Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel. He also won SEC Coach of the Year. Coach Sumlin got his start in coaching after playing linebacker at Purdue University. After earning his graduate degree as a assistant at Washington State he saw time as an assistant at Wyoming, Minnesota, Purdue, Texas A&M and Oklahoma before being hired at Houston. While at Houston he led his team to three Bowl games in four years and two Conference USA West titles in route to being named Conference USA Coach of the Year honors in 2009 and 2011.
