Kevin Touhey

Motivational and inspirational Life Coach, Kevin Touhey has been considered an underdog for most of his life.

Motivational and inspirational Life Coach, Kevin Touhey has been considered an underdog for most of his life. Born in Passaic, NJ and currently residing in Medford, NJ, Touhey grew up in abject poverty along with nine brothers and sisters. His father held over 50 jobs, spending a period of three years totally unemployed.

Touhey attended six different grammar schools by the time he was in the 5th grade and lived in eight different homes by the time he was 10. According to family psychologist and addiction experts, this is the profile of someone who usually ends up addicted and institutionalized. This is not the profile of a scholarship college basketball player, successful author, Hall of Fame college basketball coach, inspirational workshop facilitator, highly sought after speaker and life coach. But Touhey has been defying the underdog label since day one.

The, \"you will never pull this off\" comment was one Touhey heard often when he decided to write and launch a campaign to market his first book. He once again defied the odds like he had done all his life.

The Miracle of Optimism: Change Your Perspective, Transform Your Life became available on Amazon.com January 22, 2008. At the end of the day, it finished at an incredible #2 on the \"Amazon.com Hot New Releases\" book chart and #3 in Nation Wide Personal Transformation releases. This new book from a small, unknown publisher defied the odds and shot straight to the top, much like Touhey's previous career as a college basketball coach and current career as an inspirational Life Coach.

Touhey has been working with students, athletes, coaches, educators, high-level administrators and business leaders and their employees for over 30 years. He has been a highly successful collegiate athletic director, basketball coach, and student life director at a number of colleges as well as a certified Life Coach for over 14 years.

In his book, which includes his personal journey along with interactive exercises to help readers realize their own potential, he shares a story of how he and his siblings had to beg for food or they went to bed in hunger. To him \"the miracle of begging,\" was to learn, albeit the hard way, the importance on depending on yourself to survive.

Understanding his background, his career is that much more fas
