Kevin Viner

Mentalist, Musician & Comedian

As one of the leading mentalists in the United States, Kevin Viner has appeared on "Penn and Teller: Fool Us," "Masters of Illusion," "Don’t Blink," commercials for both T-Mobile and Now You See Me 2, as well as on the PBS documentary Johnny Carson: King of Late Night. As a corporate entertainer, Viner has engaged top-level management with Google, Intel, Cisco, General Electric, and many more. His celebrity clients include Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, and Travis Barker.

Viner started young with his first magic set at five, a passion for the craft and not a shadow of a doubt about what his career path would be. By age 14, he’d begun performing at the world-renowned Magic Castle in Hollywood. And by only 17, he was establishing a career as one of the top emerging magicians in the country. At 21, Viner won the world championships of close-up magic in Las Vegas and left the deck of cards behind in favor of mentalism, a branch of magic focusing on the illusion of psychic abilities. Today, Viner performs globally for the world's most discerning audiences.

Viner's wide-ranging interests often find intriguing ways into his shows. He holds a degree in mathematics from UC Irvine and harnesses probability to determine how guests are most likely to respond. Through his research in psychological profiling and cognitive biases, he deduces who may be the best participants in the show. Viner is an instrument-rated private pilot and has studied both Hawaiian Kempo and Choy Li Fut kung fu, disciplines through which he has honed keen observational skills and reaction times. He has studied music for most of his life, and plays and composes on piano, guitar, and drums. Through these studies, Viner has an innate sense of rhythm that keeps the show flowing constantly. And through his studies in stand-up comedy and improv with The Second City, Viner knows how to keep your guests laughing the entire time.
