Khalia Collier

Entrepreneur, Community Activist, Owner & General Manager of St. Louis Surge Professional Basketball Franchise

As the Vice President and Chief of Staff of Basketball Operations at Dallas Mavericks, Khalia Collier leads and supports the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of all basketball-related activities. With over 15 years of experience in sports management, she has developed a strong expertise in team building, relationship building, and collaboration.

A St. Louis native, Collier has taken on the task of unifying communities through the power of sport. For Collier, civic leadership is all about being connected through personal community service, serving on several boards and by giving back to the next generation and providing a platform for women’s leadership. It was a natural transition to accept the opportunity to make history once again leading community relations for the St. Louis City SC.

Collier has always loved sports and the business of the game. She started playing at the age of five and continued into her high school and collegiate career. A Division I recruit in high school, she went on to play at Columbia College in Columbia, MO, and Missouri Baptist University. In 2010, Collier obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from MBU.

She has received numerous honors, including the St. Louis Business Journal’s 30 under 30 award, Power 100 award, Glamour’s Missouri Woman of the Year award, the prestigious Jack Buck Award for community impact, and many others.
