Kiernan Shipka gained prominence for her notable performances as Sally Draper in "Mad Men" and Sabrina Spellman in "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina." Her acting prowess led her to win the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2008 and 2009 as part of "Mad Men's" ensemble cast. Further, she bagged the Satellite Award for Best Cast – Television Series for "Mad Men" in 2007, and the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actress for "Mad Men" in 2013. Shipka's voice acting skills also came to light when she voiced Jinora in "The Legend of Korra" from 2012 to 2014 and Jessica Drew / Spider-Woman in the video game Marvel Avengers Academy in 2016.
Shipka continued to build her acting portfolio by starring in various films and series. In 2022, she played Bea Johnson in the drama "Wildflower" and took on the main role of Lou Simms in "Swimming with Sharks." The following year, she appeared in the miniseries "White House Plumbers" as Kevan Hunt and in the episode "Cary & Brooke Go to an AIDS Play" of "The Other Two." Alongside Olivia Holt, Shipka starred in Amazon Prime Video's 1980s horror-comedy "Totally Killer" in October 2023.
In 2024, Shipka enhanced her filmography by starring in "Twisters," "Longlegs," "Red One," and "Sweethearts." Her performance in "The Last Showgirl" won her the Special Jury Prize at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Upcoming projects include the thriller film "Stone Cold Fox." Shipka has been recognized for her contributions to the field, receiving nominations at the 12th, 30th, 31st, 32nd, and 34th Annual Young Artist Awards, the 2019 Saturn Awards, and the 2019 Teen Choice Awards. She was also a participant in the 2013 Crystal + Lucy Awards and attended the Young Hollywood Awards.
